Composer & Keyboardist Miguel Kertsman writes works for world-renowned artists such as guitarist John Williams, opera star Angelika Kirchschlager, conductor Dennis Russell-Davies, performed by orchestras and ensembles including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony and St. Paul Chamber Orchestras among others.
Following his Prog Rock debut-album in 1982 at age 16 in Brazil,"Música, Mito e Miestério," Miguel worked on many recordings as studio keyboardist and arranger in New York City along with releases as solo or primary recording artist across genres - jazz-rock, classical. Guitarists Ken Mazur, Robin Matacangay, Romero Lubambo, bassists Russ Landau, Greg Jones, drummers Ted Moore, Manny Monteiro, Jeff Williams, Ernie Adams, Saxophonist Tom Gullion, percussionists Café, Mauro Refosco, are some of the musicians who at one point or another were a part of Miguel's ensemble.
His music has been heard among numerous others at Vienna's United Nations campus, Konzerthaus and Musikverein Concert Halls, Franz Liszt Festival, Porgy & Bess Vienna, The Knitting Factory NY, Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, London's St. Paul's at Covent Garden etc. Works released or published by Sony Classical, RCA Victor Group / BMG, Universal Edition and Naxos Records.
Miguel directs two Master of Arts Programs he has developed in Music for Film & Media and Music Management at Danube University Austria. He holds lectures, master classes, seminars, and colloquia at Dartmouth College, Sibelius Academy, Helsinki University of the Arts, and others.
